Met him in woodshop in ’89.
He bought all his clothes at Chess King.
Said he was from Roxbury, but he was actually from Milton.

He said “I’m from the Berry, from the Berry”, but that’s not the truth ya’ll!
He once told me Ed O.G. was gonna produce his demo for him.
His name was Alex. Alex the Rapper.

Said all his boys were from Mattapan, but they were really from Canton.
Said he was down with the New Kids and once opened for them.
Drank Cisco on the weekend and wore a Triple Fat Goose…year round.
He mostly wore Shell Toe Adidas, but sometimes he wore Gazelles.
Constantly smoked Newports and watched Yo! Mtv Raps.
Once tried to fight a senior who called him a wigger
His name was Alex. Alex the Rapper.

Said he could breakdance, but we never actually saw him.
Said he could DJ, but he didn’t have a turntable.
He said it was in the shop getting worked on…yeah right.

He once did some free-style at a CYO dance, but it was terrible.
